Whitney is an expert on fiction and non-fiction. She specializes in high, quality research and translating that into her craft. As a fiction writer, she specializes in narrative prose. In non-fiction, she’s a master of combining fact and readability. She’s experienced in all writing mediums, especially novels, comic books, short stories, and essays.

On Pop Culture History

Whitney adores pop culture history (and regular history). Her expertise is in illusion of life mediums: animation, puppetry, comic books, illustration, and videogames. She is obsessed with understanding cultural zeitgeists and how they influence modern times.

On Appraising

Using her research skills and pattern recognition talents, Whitney is a self-taught appraiser with over twenty years experience. She specializes in pop culture memorabilia, toys, Disneyana, and more. She’s earning a Graduate Gemologist degree at GIA to increase her expertise in jewelry, precious metals, and gems.

On Autism

Whitney is diagnosed with high-functioning autism (formerly Asperger’s syndrome) and depression. She advocates for education, understanding, patience, and kindness in the neurodivergent community. She lectures on better communication with autistic people as well as her experience growing up misdiagnosed.
